East Africa's Very Own Color Palette - Vintage Romantic

Vintage doesn’t mean old-fashioned here. It means time-honored, classic and softly romantic. We combined a fresh palette to express a feeling of comfort and love pulled together into a room for a family. No lace required, but always accepted.

Love the romantic look. Try striped wall colors that are close in tone and match them up with solid, lighter woods with deep accessories for balance. We used a Crown Paint metallica weaving technique with a basecoat of Zinnia Ruffles and Remember Rose and a topcoat of silver. We love this look.

Odds and Ends in Nairobi brought us together with these pieces. The hall hutch is made of recycled balcony panels and has extra storage for scarves and hats; the Moroccan lantern, aren’t they popular, comes in two colors white and black; and add a touch of the vintage with this brass and hand-blown glass candle holder. Photos were taken at the Crown Paints Studio in Nairobi. They applied the paint for us and provided us with a great place to shoot.
